Sex, Ayurveda And Big O

As a psychologist and author, I was invited to attend a women’s conference in Delhi, which discussed various issues concerning women and society in general. It was an incredible experience, and I got to meet Dr.Sreerekha, a wonderful Yoga expert and young Ayurvedic practitioner from Kerala.

We quickly got along and talked about Yogic principles and the Ayurvedic way of living. Then, Sreerekha gave a brief insight into the relationship between sex and Ayurveda.

Let me share a few pearls of wisdom today for my lovely readers.

SEX AND AYURVEDA.

Who doesn’t love good sex.?! Intimacy is loved and valued by all. It’s no longer a taboo to be enveloped in the traditional upbringing; Instead, it is something to feel liberated about and enjoy without fearing judgment.

But is it just about reproduction? Hella No..right!? That’s an age-old idea. But apart from modern viewpoints in a society that aims to normalize dating, hookups, and relationships where intimacy matters for everyone, let’s see what Ayurveda’s centuries-old medicine system got to say about sex.

Sex: A reflex not to be suppressed.

The concept of sex, according to Ayurveda, is not just about pleasure, some unusual positions, or good progeny; It is rather about the unraveling of our cognitive and spiritual selves. So Kamasutra is not just about pleasure, but it defines sexual desire, like thirst and hunger, as an uncontrollable instinct that shouldn’t be suppressed. So let’s get a better idea of the Ayurvedic approach to sex and orgasms.

ORGASMS: AN AYURVEDIC VIEWPOINT.

The internet and western culture have conditioned us to believe that orgasms are always beneficial. Yes, they are, but not all the time.

Relax..I’m not gonna say Ayurveda calls orgasms a waste of time because, C’mon… Who would say that.?

Orgasms are helpful as they aid in releasing stress, producing oxytocin, and developing a sense of bonding between lovers, all of which are magical, vital, and undeniable. Ayurveda has a little more detailed description of the concept of orgasms. So here you go.!

Orgasms are believed to produce Rasa dhatu and reproductive fluid depletion. Rasa refers to the fluid component of our bodies that serves as a foundation for all other six body tissues, including blood, muscles, bones, marrow, and nervous tissue.

So it’s basically like a glass of wine and A bottle of wine. A glass of wine can help you relax, feel happy and liberated but too much (a bottle) can leave you weary and exhausted.

So what do we do for a better experience.?

According to Ayurveda, the primary step towards fixing what is lost from the body is through our diet.!

Food is our love language.!

The food we consume is central to many bodily issues, isn’t it? In terms of culture, nutrition, love, and also sex, there are many things nutritious food can solve, including depression. Serve your taste buds some good food, and they will serve you back in ways you’ll never imagine. Be it emotional drainage or sexual exhaustion. So let’s start with food.!

In any activity, especially recreational and sexual activities, having a fit body combined with an equally attentive mind is critical. Don’t you think.? If our bodily hormones are inflamed for some reason, we will need to serve it nutritious food to compensate for that minor loss and to avoid future fluctuations. Coping up is that simple.!

The following are some basic and natural essentials for rejuvenated energy – no side effects. No chemicals. Just some easy and light food.

● Milk.

Whether or not milk can reduce sexual desires is a debatable topic. However, milk is an example of a dairy product that can potentially increase your immunity and reenergize your body without leaving you exhausted. Milk replenishes our body’s vital energy. So don’t be doubtful about the benefits of milk, but..it’s entirely up to you.! If you’re not a big fan of dairy, don’t worry…we’ve got plenty of alternative options.

● Custard apple cooked with ghee.

This fruit has a creamy texture and is high in antioxidants. It will treat any inflammation or oxidative stress in our cells. Custard apple is also an immune booster and a mood lifter. It provides you with a significant amount of dopamine. So enjoy some custard apples and have an excellent time.!!

● Pomegranate.

I’m not sure how many people were given ‘anaar’ to enhance their haemoglobin count. This blood-red fruit is beneficial to your RBC count, haemoglobin count, and improved circulation. Improved circulation will, in turn, ensures nutritious supplies for our bodies. Work done.!!!

● It’s either almonds or milk.

Vitamins, calcium, low calories, and a robust immune system enhancer. What else are you on the lookout for?

If nothing works, then a simple sweet rice porridge cooked in milk and sprinkled with fragrant ghee will also suffice!

That’s not it. There is a huge list of rejuvenating food items available, but these are some options to start with.

Engaging in the act of love with reverence, dignity, and wisdom is essential. Because there isn’t anything else in the world that is as beautiful, exciting, dramatic, and controversial that is as much about passion, love, and strife as sex.!

So have a great time while you are at it.!!!
