The sex-appeal about Volodymyr Zelensky that is ‘no joke’
It isn’t the first time in history that a politician or world leader has won a huge fan following among the fairer sex. But being subject to a fusillade of sexual innuendoes such as ‘Daddy’, ‘Hot as hell’, ‘male crush’, ‘sex symbol’ isn’t something that happens on a regular basis in a debutant political leader’s life. Of course, people admired leaders such as Rajiv Gandhi, and more recently, Justin Trudeau. But, swooning over a leader at a time when he is tasked with the responsibility of saving his country from a war is inappropriate. We are sure you know by now who we are talking about. It’s Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The man, with a cute yet funny face, and lighthearted demeanor has already won the hearts of his countrymen. He is now the face of a nation that is fighting for its sovereignty, survival, independence, and dignity. The President who previously donned the hat of a ‘comedian,’ and grabbed everyone’s attention by playing a piano with his penis on stage is now winning over women’s hearts world across. But what made this 5’7 feet tall comedian become everyone’s favourite in such a short stint? And, that too at a time when Ukraine is fighting the mighty Russian army? Well, it is not just his good looks but there is more to it.
Internet going gaga over Zelensky
Apparently, the craze and admiration for the Ukrainian President spread like a wildfire when the pictures of the leader in military outfit were shared on social media. The leader encouraged its country’s citizens to pick up weapons against the enemy. He even turned down an offer by the USA for airlifting him during the peak of the war, stating – his country needs ‘more ammunition, not a ride.’ That was the moment when he turned from a ruler to a leader, and earned himself a huge fan base. With these words that have now become a poster statement – he became an instant hit amongst people and leaders alike. After all, here was a leader, who instead of choosing the easier way of fleeing the country, decided to stay back and fight for his people. Call that sexy? Well, the answer to that for many would be – ‘Effing’ yes.
It was not long after the war started that Zelensky began being bombarded with fan-girl moments on social media. Messages from fans started pouring in on every social media platform, starting from TikTok to Twitter. And these were not random praises, but downright unabashed, shameless acceptance by a string of crazy women of being head over heels about this man.
‘Imma say it. Zelensky is hot,’ said one Twitter user. Another was like, ‘Zelensky has MUCH more sex appeal than Trudeau. He should take up his rightful place as the world leader sex icon.’

At 44, Zelensky is indeed a candid face to look at. And, with courage of a lion in these tumultuous times, can we blame him for killing women with his intense looks and political razzmatazz? Born in Kryvyi Rih in central Ukraine, to Jewish parents, the political leader studied Law at Kryvyi Rih Institute of Economics. However, he was only 17 when he started his career as a comedian. His initial interest in politics was only revealed when he shared his two cents against the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture suggesting banning of Russian artists from the country in 2014. Apart from this, his only political affiliation was his performance in ‘Servant of the People’ – a popular show that narrates the story of a teacher whose video of lambasting his government goes viral making him an ideal candidate for the upcoming presidential election. He ends up with flying colors, of course. When he won the actual Ukraine Presidential Elections with a thumping victory, a line got blurred between reel and real. That year, Ukraine witnessed a 95 per cent voter turnout, according to election officials. Zelenesky bagged a whopping 73.13 votes. He is the first ever Jewish President Ukraine has ever had.
Zelensky never doubted his inexperience in politics could pose a hurdle in his journey of becoming Ukraine’s President. In the past two years, there were no better litmus tests than two major global events that shaped the geopolitics of the world – the Covid-19 pandemic and Russia-Ukraine War. And in both the cases, he stood firm like a soldier and refused to be stopped by any force in the world. Such is the confidence of the man that just a few days before the presidential election, he was seen busy prepping up for a comedy performance. When asked about this by a reporter, he was quick to answer, ‘Why not? I’m doing my job.’
So, what’s all that craze about him?
If one asks women what type of men they prefer, the first answer, more than physical attributes, will be ‘a man with a great sense of humor’. Zelensky, being a comedian by profession and a seemingly light-hearted man in general – humor comes naturally to him. This makes him a ‘man of dreams’ for many young women. Women are bowled over by that instant ability to crack jokes and Zelensky has the ability to crack one at his own expense.
What makes Zelensky all the more attractive to women though, is the ‘underdog’ tag. Women always take the side of David fighting against the Goliath. And here is a case of David forcing Goliath (Russia) to retract its steps. He has trounced assassination attempts, his troops have taken back cities captured by Russia and he has defied a super power. So there can be no doubt that women will fall for him.
Finally here’s what women like. A kid’s face on a man’s body – a description that best fits this War-Hero President. Therein lies his sex appeal, therein lies his charm. The simplicity of the eyes can make women drool, the smile (though he has rarely offered that in these troubled times) is enough to make women grow shaky in the legs. He is the perfect combination of the warrior with a kid’s innocent face and the charm of a brave Knight. Enough to make women fall for him.
